For teacher sub-standard 6a, you need to demonstrate that you know and understand how to assess the relevant subject and curriculum areas, including statutory assessment requirements.
The types of evidence you can use to showcase this are:
Accurate use of assessment to identify gaps and plan next steps
Moderation (external, internal and across schools/ departments)
Monitoring cycle
Lesson observation (and feedback)
Contributions in staff meetings, training records show outcomes of training
Work sampling
Outcomes of moderation and pupil progress meetings– APP, levelling etc.
Admin of EYFS profile/ KS1/ KS2 SATs
Pupil conferencing, personalised questioning
Pupil progress meetings
Statutory assessment carried out correctly
Remember that the evidence in isolation isn’t enough, you will need to annotate it to signpost exactly where/how you are meeting the standard.
You can use photographic evidence to support your evidence for this standard. Be sure to anonymise any student work or data by blacking out names or identifying details. If you’re using photographic evidence be sure to blank out student faces and any school logos.
